VIDEO: 'I Don't Know How to Live. There is No Forgiveness for Me' - Mikhail Efremov Apologizes
Mikhail Efremov, a distinguished artist from Russia, has recorded a video message addressing the scandalous car accident that occurred in central Moscow on Monday for the first time.
"I don't know how to continue living. I don't know what to say, and even now I don't know. I don't know how and with what words to apologize to Sergey Zakharov's family, but I still ask for forgiveness, although I know they won't forgive," Efremov stated.
The actor mentioned that he would help the relatives of the deceased man if they accepted his assistance. "And if they understand that this is not an excuse, but an attempt to atone for my guilt. I apologize, but there is no forgiveness for me," he candidly expressed.
He acknowledged that getting behind the wheel while drunk is inexcusable, especially when it results in the death of a man he referred to as a "good man." Tears in his eyes, Efremov said, "I don't understand how to continue living."
"I know many think that as an artist, I will be 'saved'—no, I will not use my connections and acquaintances. This is not a movie, and nothing will change. This is the end; there will be no more Efremov. I have betrayed everyone. I have nothing more to say," the actor concluded.
