Murder In Yerevan Involving Firearm: Body of 38-Year-Old Man Found
On June 7, a murder involving a firearm occurred in Yerevan. According to SHAMSHYAN.com, at around 23:55, the police received a call from an unknown citizen reporting gunshots in the Shengavit administrative district, on Sołomon Taronci Street.
Upon arrival, police discovered the body of a man in front of a pharmacy on the mentioned street. They identified the deceased as 38-year-old Telman Karapetyan, a resident of the same street. According to the preliminary conclusion of the forensic expert, he died from gunfire wounds.
According to G. Shamshyan, the victim and the assailant knew each other, but the details regarding the motive for the murder are not being disclosed at this moment for investigative reasons. Also, the head of the Yerevan Traffic Police, Vahan Evinyan, arrived at the scene, and, under his order, an enhanced service was being carried out at the site by the duty officers of the first traffic police company, led by the responsible duty officer Armen Grigoryan.
