Kia Sorento Rolls Over Multiple Times in Syunik, Ends Up Upside Down by the River Voghji; Injuries Reported
On May 29, a serious traffic accident occurred in the Syunik region. Around 4:00 PM, a 22-year-old resident of Kapan, Razmik D., driving a Kia Sorento, lost control of the vehicle on the 67 km section of the Meghri-Yerevan M2 highway for unknown reasons. The vehicle rolled over multiple times and ended up upside down by the bank of the Voghji River.
According to shamshyan.com, as a result of the accident, both the driver, Razmik D., and his passenger, 24-year-old Arsen D., who is also from Kapan, sustained injuries and were transported to the Kapan Medical Center.
Emergency services were promptly dispatched, including a fire-rescue team from the Syunik regional rescue administration of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, with one operational unit. Rescuers de-energized the vehicle, cordoned off the area, and then assisted in safely removing the vehicle.
