Levon Hambartsumyan, Arrested and Later Released in Kapan, Rearrested

The trial regarding the scandalous case of the residents of Kajaran has led to the Yerevan Court of General Jurisdiction, under the presiding judge Vache Margaryan, approving the investigator's request to select pre-trial detention as a measure against Levon Hambartsumyan. This was reported to 'Factinfo' by his lawyer, Hovsep Sarkisyan.

It is noteworthy that Levon Hambartsumyan has been charged under Article 131, Part 2, Clause 1 of the Criminal Code of Armenia for the kidnapping of a person by a group of individuals acting in agreement. He denies the charges brought against him. Lawyer Hovsep Sarkisyan stated in an interview with the media that they intend to appeal the court's decision.
