Friends in Ararat Ate and Drank, Then Attacked Each Other with Beer Bottle and Meat Knife
In the Ararat region, participants of a gathering engaged in a dispute, hitting each other with glasses, bottles, and later a knife.
According to a report by 'Factinfo', a group of residents from the Ararat region attended a celebration at a recreation area in the village of Lanjazat. In the latter half of the day, when the atmosphere was already high, a resident from Nerkin Dvin teased one of his tablemates, who was a resident of Verin Dvin. Another tablemate rushed to defend the latter's honor, demanding an apology; however, the teased individual refused to apologize, instead cursing and striking his friend who critiqued him with a glass.
As a result, a quarrel ensued. In response to the glass strike, the individual who was cursed hit back with a beer bottle and then stabbed him with a nearby meat knife, injuring his liver.
A criminal case has been initiated regarding the incident, during which the stabber has been charged under part 1 of Article 112 of the RA Criminal Code for causing serious bodily harm intentionally. The man has been arrested. The prosecution has confirmed the indictment and sent the case to court.
