40 Vehicles Monitored, 18 Violations Recorded

In order to ensure compliance with the requirements of the Government of the Republic of Armenia's decision No. 74 dated May 14, a joint enforcement operation was conducted by specialists from the Territorial Division of the Urban Development, Technical and Fire Safety Inspection Body and the Traffic Police on May 28 from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM in the Central Administrative District of Yerevan.

During the specified period, inspections were carried out on a total of 24 passenger taxi vehicles, revealing 24 violations. In 15 passenger taxis, there was a passenger sitting in the front seat next to the driver, while 9 drivers were found operating without masks. A corresponding report was prepared for 8 drivers by the Traffic Police, while explanatory work was conducted with 16 drivers to correct the violations on-site.

Monitoring was also carried out on 16 regularly scheduled passenger transport routes, resulting in the identification of 10 violations. In the case of 9 microbuses, it was found that two passengers were seated in the front seat next to the driver; these passengers were removed and transferred to the passenger compartment of the microbus. In one instance, the disinfectant liquid was found to be absent from the interior.

To address and rectify these deficiencies, the specialists from the Inspection Body conducted explanatory work among passengers and drivers on-site, emphasizing the strict adherence to the instructions provided by the government and the importance of maintaining their health and safety.
