56-Year-Old Resident of AknaLich Village Arrested on Suspicion of Stabbing Villager
On May 26, 2020, at approximately 22:10, during a dispute over domestic issues outside one of the buildings on Azatamartikner Street in AknaLich village of Armavir province, a 56-year-old resident of the same village intentionally stabbed a 29-year-old villager in the abdomen with a folding knife, causing a penetrating stab wound to the lower abdomen. This was reported by the Information and Public Relations Department of the Investigative Committee of Armenia.
A criminal case was initiated in the Armavir regional investigative department of the Investigative Committee of Armenia under Article 112 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia (causing serious harm to health intentionally).
An examination of the crime scene was conducted, during which the knife used in the crime was found. Forensic medical, forensic traceological, and forensic examinations have been appointed. As a result of the investigative actions, the 56-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of stabbing his fellow villager. The preliminary investigation continues.
