Flowers and Seedlings Stolen, Young Trees Broken: Ejmiadzin Municipality Raises Alarm
In Ejmiadzin, flowers, seedlings, and young trees continue to be damaged and stolen. This alarming news was reported on the municipality's Facebook page.
“While the employees of the Ejmiadzin Municipality's Beautification Department are making every effort to beautify and shape the city’s sidewalks and green spaces, vandals are continuously damaging and stealing flowers, seedlings, and breaking young trees.
Particularly, flowers along Mashtots Street are being stolen, and the pink flowering acacia trees planted at the beginning of the street last year have been broken. The flowers in the central part of the city’s main square are also targeted by vandals.
The sense of impunity leads to further offenses. Therefore, we warn that from now on, the areas will be monitored by cameras, and the police of the Republic of Armenia will be informed about the damages caused to the city,” the statement concluded.
