Alex Transferred to ‘Zatik’ Orphanage After Being Abused by Stepfather, Says Zohrapyan

NAIRA ZOHRAPYAN, a member of the Armenian National Assembly from the Prosperous Armenia Party, wrote on her Facebook page: “Little Alex has been transferred to the ‘Zatik’ orphanage.

The entire internet was shocked yesterday by the story of seven-year-old Alex Stepanyan. Living with his mother and her husband in one of the summer cottages in Kharberd, the creature known as her husband regularly humiliated and tortured the little boy, being a chronic alcoholic, forcing the child to drink alcohol with him, throwing the child to sleep on cold concrete, and keeping him hungry for days.

I will not detail the rest of the humiliations. I am grateful to everyone whose efforts ensured that the child is now in the ‘Zatik’ orphanage, where they just took a coronavirus test and fed little Alex.

Yes, an orphanage is not the best place for a child, but I firmly believe that any orphanage is better than such a monstrous family. I sincerely hope that Alex finds a loving and caring family and will be happy.

Yet, this story will not end here. I will do everything possible to ensure that the creature that constantly humiliated the child and stole Alex’s childhood is punished to the full extent of the law.

P.S. To the overly pious individuals: Please do not write to me giving lectures on manners about how one should not refer to a person as a creature, and that such vocabulary does not suit me. A human being should indeed not be treated that way. It’s just that my understanding of being human and that of fake pious individuals is different.”
