Gogol Nikolyan, Mayor of Arevshat, Passes Away Unexpectedly

Gogol Nikolyan, the mayor of Arevshat, has passed away unexpectedly. In relation to this, the municipality's Facebook page states: “He left wishing everyone success... May 23rd’s sunset was the last for Gogol Nikolyan. That day, as always, before the end of working hours, he gave new assignments to the staff, talked about upcoming plans, and discussed the tasks for the next day. He wished health, success, and patience to all, then stepped out of the village hall and left. He departed forever... He left without the slightest suspicion that that day would be both his last day of work and of life. He left, taking with him the respect and love he earned.

The sad news left everyone speechless, with a single word on everyone’s lips: SORROW… It was too soon.

Gogol Nikolyan was born on February 13, 1956. He studied at the Arevshat secondary school and graduated from the Armenian State Agrarian University, tying his entire life to his native village. Since 1999, for around 21 years, until his final day and hour, he served as the mayor of Arevshat village. During his years of service, he engaged in fruitful activities within the village and implemented numerous projects.

The memory of Gogol Nikolyan, a beloved and respected man by his working colleagues from the village municipality, kindergarten, health clinic, music school, and secondary school, as well as a best person and father of three children and grandfather of eight, will forever remain alive in the hearts of those who knew him.
