Violence at Kapan Police Department: Internal Investigation Initiated by Police Chief Arman Sargsyan

According to 168.am, masked and armed police officers arrested four individuals connected to the mayor of Kajaran early this morning, who are now at the Kapan Police Department.

The media outlet has also learned that the primary aim of these arrests is to coerce testimonies against Kajaran's mayor, Manvel Paramazyan.

One of the arrested individuals, who has just been released, was reportedly detained by mistake. Nver Khachatryan, a citizen of Kajaran, was subjected to violence alongside his wrongful detention. The site has received photographs from the citizen's relatives, showcasing the treatment he endured while at the police department.

By order of Police Chief Arman Sargsyan, an internal investigation is underway by the police's internal security department regarding the incidents at the Kapan Police Department. This was reported by the Police of the Republic of Armenia.
