Extraordinary Incident in Syunik: "Multi-fragment Fracture of the Jaw" from Gunfire

An extraordinary incident occurred in the Syunik Province on May 17. Around 03:30, the Gorist Medical Center contacted the Gorist Police Department, reporting that a citizen had been admitted with a diagnosis of "multi-fragment fracture of the jaw and lacerated-penetrating wound in the lower jaw area." According to Shamshyan.com, police and investigators have determined that the injured individual is a 53-year-old resident of Syunik, identified as Samvel Sh.

It has also been revealed that he shot himself in the jaw area using an "AKS" type assault rifle at a location known as "Turusi Khut" in the administrative territory of his residence, resulting in his injury and subsequent hospitalization.

Sources indicate that shortly thereafter, Samvel Sh's friend and fellow villager, 53-year-old Romik G, voluntarily presented himself to the Gorist Police and handed over the aforementioned assault rifle with an empty magazine, claiming that he found it on Samvel Sh's chest at around 01:00 on the same day.

Investigators in the Syunik Regional Investigative Department are preparing materials regarding the incident, and a number of examinations have been ordered. Whether this incident is a suicide or a result of negligence will be clarified after several examinations are conducted.
