Shooting and Stabbing Near 'Nor Zovq' Supermarket
According to SHAMSHYAN.com, an extraordinary incident took place in Yerevan on May 17. Around 02:10, the Mashtots Police Department received a report of gunshots near the 'Nor Zovq' shopping center located in the 4th district of Davitashen.
While officers from the Mashtots Police Department and a team from the Investigative Committee of Armenia's Yerevan city investigative department for Ajapnyak and Davitashen administrative regions, led by Senior Investigator A. Kalashyan, were working at the scene, at approximately 03:40, a call was received from the Armenia Medical Center informing the police that two citizens had been admitted with stab wounds to the abdomen.
A police operational group, led by the department head A. Shahbazyan, proceeded to the hospital where doctors reported that the injured could not provide explanations about the incident.
Police and investigators have identified the victims as 24-year-old Mikayel M. and 40-year-old Edgar N., both residents of Yerevan. Materials are being prepared in connection with the incident at the investigative department for the Ajapnyak and Davitashen administrative regions.
The police and the investigative department are undertaking necessary operational investigative and joint actions directed towards clarifying the circumstances of the incident, identifying the perpetrators, and discovering the weapon used in the crime, as well as determining whether gunshots were indeed fired at that time.
