New Details on Gunfire and Murders Resembling a Action Movie in Gavar

Authorities from the Investigative Committee of Armenia and the police have uncovered details regarding the high-profile gunfire and murders that occurred in the city of Gavar on April 28.

According to Shamshyan.com, it has been determined that around 5:00 PM on that day, during the shootout, residents of Noratus village, 47-year-old Robert Hakobyan, 33-year-old Vahe Avetisyan, 28-year-old Hrachya Hakobyan, and 37-year-old Ashot Yeghiazaryan used unlawfully obtained, possessed, and carried firearms to threaten the lives of two or more individuals, specifically 39-year-old Armen Haytayan and 37-year-old Vardan Davoyan, who were residents of Gavar, along with those accompanying them. The gunfire was allegedly aimed directly at Armen Haytayan.

As a result of the shootout, Vahe Avetisyan and 31-year-old Zohrab Paronikyan, also a resident of Gavar, were killed on the spot, while Hrachya Hakobyan, A. Sargsyan, A. Petrosyan, S. Meloyan, Armen Haytayan, and Vardan Davoyan were hospitalized with gunshot wounds at the Gavar Medical Center. Consequently, Robert Hakobyan, Ashot Yeghiazaryan, Hrachya Hakobyan, and Vahe Avetisyan did not complete the crime due to circumstances beyond their control. Robert Hakobyan and Ashot Yeghiazaryan have been charged under Articles 34-104, Part 2, Clauses 1, 6, 7, and Article 235, Part 1 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia, and have been remanded in custody.
