Video: Attempted Burglary Uncovered; Several Arrested

On May 7, an attempted burglary took place in the Avan administrative district. Around 8:30 PM, unknown individuals attempted to open the door of an apartment in the Duryan neighborhood using a modified key but failed to complete the act and fled for unknown reasons. No report was filed with the police regarding the incident either that day or the following day.

Criminal investigators from Yerevan City’s Department independently looked into the matter and took appropriate measures. Key operational data acquired played a significant role in the investigation. Thanks to the diligent work of law enforcement, the attempted burglary was uncovered the very next day.

Information was received indicating that the crime was committed by a 43-year-old resident of Nor Nork, who was wanted for burglary, along with his 34-year-old friend residing in Nor Aresh. On May 8, the suspects were detained by police in Nor Nork as they drove on Titogradyan Street.

During the search of the detained individuals' vehicle, modified keys and tools designed for opening and breaking locks were discovered. As a result of the actions taken, a television stolen from one of the apartments was also recovered as material evidence. Investigations are ongoing to clarify the circumstances. The detained men have been arrested, and the pre-trial proceedings for the initiated criminal case continue.
