New Questions Have Arisen

The newspaper "Zhoghovurd" writes: "When Serzh Sargsyan was invited to the National Assembly on April 16 to answer questions regarding the military operations that took place in April 2016, it turned out that this raised several new questions. According to our information, based on the data provided by Serzh Sargsyan, the commission is currently discussing inviting several more individuals and making a final conclusion.

According to information received by the "Zhoghovurd" newspaper, the issue of convening a meeting on April 27 has already been discussed, where one of the officials from the aforementioned list may be present. The fact is that the working period of the investigative commission ends in June, and there will no longer be an opportunity to extend it, which is why the commission must finalize its interrogation process and present conclusions in the near future.

It is noteworthy that many members of the ruling faction in the National Assembly are not pleased with the fact that the meeting with Serzh Sargsyan was, so to speak, quite mild, and the tough statements that were supposed to be made after the meeting did not materialize. Yesterday, the "Zhoghovurd" newspaper talked about these issues with Kristine Poghosyan, a member of the National Assembly faction "My Step" and a member of the investigative commission, who confirmed our news about the upcoming meeting. "Yes, there will be a meeting, but we haven't had a working discussion yet; we will discuss and decide, and then we will inform you. Of course, it would have been desirable to also hear from Yuri Khachaturov, his opinion, his comments, but since he didn’t come, that’s fine; we’ll manage without him for the rest," she noted."
