I Will Soon Present Legal Claims: Alen Simonyan
Alen Simonyan, the Vice Speaker of the National Assembly, is preparing to file legal claims against media outlets that publish defamatory materials taken out of context. He made this announcement during a conversation with reporters after the ruling Civil Contract party’s session on April 21.
In response to a question about whether the session discussed the Prime Minister's statement regarding plans to cleanse the state system of 'Serj's remnants', Simonyan said, 'This is not only being discussed by the Prime Minister, but also by our fellow citizens. Two years is a sufficient period, although much has been done, and many issues have been resolved which are not discussed for understandable reasons. The media landscape today is occupied with a different activity, focused on making money and crafting interesting headlines. I don't think the Prime Minister has said anything new; we all know this well. This cleansing process is ongoing. The criminal cases and individuals under investigation are clear evidence of this, and we will witness even more examples of this in the near future.'
It is worth noting that Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, who also attended the Civil Contract session, left without answering reporters' questions.
