3029 Potential Infected Individuals Identified Through Mobile Phones: Tigran Avinyan
On April 13, the Armenian National Assembly convened a special session. The agenda included the issue of extending the state of emergency by 30 days. Deputy Prime Minister and Chief Coordinator Tigran Avinyan addressed the discussions, highlighting the tool for location tracking.
According to Avinyan, “From the 315 recorded patients, 3029 individuals who are potential self-isolators have been identified. Communication has been established with these individuals, and they were not listed in the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention’s registry, meaning they are an additional 3029 individuals who may potentially be infected.”
He also pointed out that analyses of the information received through the application have been rapidly coming in; the application has been downloaded approximately 60,000 times. “4900 test results have been found in the red zone. At this stage, communication has been established with more than 1600 individuals. Following further analysis, 21 individuals were targeted, of which 4 tested positive for coronavirus,” the Deputy Prime Minister announced.
