Urgent: A Mobile Laboratory for COVID-19 Diagnosis Arrives in Armenia
Within the framework of bilateral cooperation between the armed forces of the Republic of Armenia and the Russian Federation, a team of specialists from the Russian Armed Forces has arrived in Armenia. This visit is in accordance with the agreement reached between the Defense Ministers of Armenia, David Tonoyan, and Russia, Sergey Shoigu, to support the prevention of the spread of the novel coronavirus and to organize anti-epidemic measures, as well as to share experience and practical knowledge.
The team is equipped with a mobile laboratory capable of conducting COVID-19 tests and disinfection systems. These systems will allow the Ministry of Defense to conduct tests on personnel from the Armed Forces of Armenia and the 102nd Russian military base located in Armenia.
Conducting tests in target groups will significantly contribute to the organization of preventive measures and will considerably increase the effectiveness of anti-epidemic activities.
Details will be presented in a video in the coming hours. This was announced by the press secretary of the Ministry of Defense, Shushan Stepanyan.
