32-Year-Old Contract Soldier Commits Suicide in Ararat Region
According to SHAMSHYAN.com, a tragic incident occurred in the Ararat region on April 11. Around 15:40, the police received a report that a body was hanging from an apricot tree on the road from Aygevank village to Yeghnaghu village.
Photographer Gagik Shamshyan reports that an operational group from the Ararat police department and a team from the investigative committee of the Ararat regional investigative department arrived at the scene. The police and investigators discovered the body of 32-year-old Rafik A., a resident of the Ararat region, hanging from an apricot tree with an iron wire.
At the scene, the forensic expert stated that no signs of violence were found on the body during the external examination. Investigative materials are being prepared regarding the incident at the Ararat regional investigative department.
According to G. Shamshyan, personnel from the Military Police of the Ministry of Defense of Armenia also arrived at the scene, as it was determined that Rafik A. was serving in the Armenian Ministry of Defense as a contract soldier.
