First Case of Coronavirus Reported in Switzerland
A first case of coronavirus has been reported in Switzerland, according to TASS. Switzerland is the 37th country in the world to record an infection with the virus.
In Armenia, efforts to combat the new coronavirus continue, and as of February 25, 1:00 PM, there have been no confirmed cases of the virus in our country.
According to the daily report from China’s National Health Commission, as of February 25, 1:00 PM, the number of confirmed cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) has reached 77,782, with 2,824 suspected cases. The number of recoveries among confirmed cases stands at 27,554, while the death toll is 2,666. Currently, 9,126 patients are in severe condition.
Data from the World Health Organization indicates that as of February 24, there were a total of 79,331 laboratory-confirmed cases worldwide, with 77,262 of those in China, resulting in 2,595 deaths. Outside of China, 29 countries have reported 2,069 cases, of which 23 have resulted in death. These figures indicate that the situation in China is stabilizing.
In the Islamic Republic of Iran, as of February 25, 1:00 PM, there have been 61 cases reported, including 15 fatalities.
