BHK Members to Gather in Kanyachni Led by Gagik Tsarukyan

According to the newspaper ‘‘Zhoghovurd’’, today, a political council meeting will take place in Kanyachni under the leadership of Gagik Tsarukyan, the head of the Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK). The members will discuss their stance on the upcoming constitutional reform referendum.

As reported, BHK members are convinced that they cannot support the 'YES' campaign because they have recently been critical of the government's policies regarding the referendum, which would contradict their principles.

Most BHK members are inclined to vote 'NO' in the referendum, but some believe this could incite public outrage. This is why Tsarukyan has called his teammates for a meeting to make a decision, and they may also consider a third option of remaining neutral.

Yesterday, the newspaper pointed out that Kristine Poghosyan, a member of the ‘My Step’ parliamentary group, has joined the BHK faction. According to reports, Poghosyan has had discussions with Gagik Tsarukyan. When asked if she was mediating between the authorities and the BHK regarding the referendum, she stated, “It was a completely different matter; I was discussing a partnership issue with Mr. Tsarukyan, nothing else.”
