We Will Respond to Turkey's Attacks: Syrian Armed Forces
Recently, the atmosphere in Syria has become more tense between Turkish and Syrian government forces. Both sides continue to threaten retaliatory military operations against each other.
On February 12, the Syrian army announced that it would respond to Turkey's attacks. In a statement issued the previous day, the Syrian army accused Turkey of violating Syria's sovereignty and supporting opposition groups in Idlib and Aleppo, as reported by ermenihaber.
It is worth noting that last week, 13 Turkish soldiers were killed as a result of the shelling by government forces in Syria's Idlib province. In connection with this, official Ankara has significantly increased the volume of military equipment supplied to its observation posts in Idlib.
Syrian opposition forces, supported by Turkey, have begun to strike the positions of Syrian government forces in conjunction with Turkish artillery.
