Prime Minister Discusses Soldier Deaths with Defense Minister and Chief of Staff

The Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, has held an extensive discussion regarding the deaths of soldiers in peacetime with Defense Minister Davit Tonoyan and Chief of the General Staff Artak Davtyan.

This information was shared by Pashinyan during a question-and-answer session with the government in the National Assembly, where he responded to an inquiry from independent MP Arman Babajanyan.

“Today we had a detailed conversation with both the Defense Minister and the Chief of the General Staff. Of course, every incident is a significant problem for all of us. We had set a goal to change uniforms and we did so, providing the Armed Forces with washing machines. Later, it turned out that there was an issue regarding the dignity of our soldiers when their uniforms were mixed with others in the washing machine. The main point of my discussion today was that we need to diagnose the existing problems in the army at a genetic level. My conviction is that this is a form of expression of criminal subculture,” Pashinyan noted.
