No Constitutional Court Judge Has Entered the National Assembly Building: Alen Simonyan

No Constitutional Court judge has entered the National Assembly building. I spoke with Ararat Mirzoyan today; there is no such thing. This was stated today, February 12, during a conversation with reporters by National Assembly Vice President Alen Simonyan.

In response to a comment that the National Assembly staff had officially confirmed meetings between Constitutional Court judges and National Assembly President Ararat Mirzoyan, Alen Simonyan replied, 'I am not sure it has been confirmed.'

Previously, former Deputy Head of the National Assembly Staff Arsen Babayan posted on his Facebook page the official response from the National Assembly staff to his question, stating, 'The National Assembly staff officially confirmed that President Ararat Mirzoyan has been meeting regularly with individual Constitutional Court judges, including Judge Felix Tokhyan. Apparently, the press reports were correct.'

To the question of whether the authorities are not working with Constitutional Court judges to persuade them to resign, the Vice President responded, 'There is no issue of working; the Prime Minister has stated he is ready to meet with the Constitutional Court judges, including individually. Our actions have shown what we are doing.'
