National Assembly Adopts All Proposals Discussed Yesterday

The National Assembly has today adopted all proposals discussed yesterday. The following outcomes were recorded during the voting:

1. The question of amending the law on 'Social Assistance' was accepted with 103 votes in favor.
2. The bill on amending the law on 'State Benefits' of the Republic of Armenia was accepted with 107 votes in favor.
3. Before the first reading vote on the package of proposed amendments concerning changes to the law on 'Medical Assistance and Services for the Population', a member of the 'Prosperous Armenia' faction stated, 'We reaffirm our position that a broad discussion on this issue should be organized during the second reading. We will, of course, vote in favor, but it is essential to arrange hearings or find another format so that the citizens of Armenia are maximally involved in the discussion of the issue.' The project was adopted with 111 votes in favor.
4. The bill on amending the law on 'Land Tax' was adopted with 67 votes in favor, 36 against, and 9 abstentions.
5. The question raised by 'Bright Armenia' regarding amendments and additions to the law on 'Local Self-Government' of the Republic of Armenia was accepted with 109 votes in favor.
