Schedule for the Constitutional Referendum Preparation and Conduct Released

The Central Electoral Commission has approved the schedule for the main activities related to the preparation and conduct of the referendum on constitutional amendments, which will take place on April 5.

According to information from the CEC website, the pre-election campaign for the constitutional amendments referendum will begin on February 17 and end on April 3. Voting in penitentiary institutions is set to begin 10 days prior to the voting day, on March 26.

Electronic voting will commence 9 days before the voting day, on March 27, and will close on March 29. The polling station arrangements will be completed by April 4, the day before the voting, by 24:00.

Voting will start on April 5 at 08:00 and end at 20:00. Information about the ongoing voting in the referendum will be released on April 5, voting day, at 09:00.

From 12:00 to 21:00, information about the number of citizens participating in the voting, broken down by electoral districts, regional centers, and communities with over 10,000 voters, including Yerevan, will be published at 12:00, 15:00, 18:00, and 21:00 on the voting day.

The voting rights of arrested citizens who are eligible to participate in the referendum will be organized on the voting day from 08:00 to 18:00.

The preliminary results of the referendum voting will be summarized, attested by a protocol, and published by April 6 at 20:00. The official protocol regarding the voting results will be drawn up on the 7th day after the voting day, on April 12.
