Edmon Marukyan has been hit by ‘Minasyan’ syndrome: Alen Simonian
“I think Marukyan has been hit by ‘Minasyan syndrome’, and it has already become chronic,” said the Vice Speaker of the National Assembly, Alen Simonian, during a briefing with journalists today. He emphasized that the Bright Armenia Party has a responsibility to its voters and must guide them.
“If 650,000 people go and vote ‘Yes’, then Marukyan's legal tricks become meaningless. If he has something to say to his voters, he must go out to the street, form a ‘No’ campaign headquarters, and prove to people that the decision is unconstitutional,” Simonian stated, adding that after that, he could appeal to the Constitutional Court to dispute the results of the vote.
When asked whether a referendum would take place if all 7 judges resigned, Simonian replied that the referendum would happen anyway, but he has serious doubts that Hrayr Tovmasyan would do such a thing.
