US Plans to Allocate $100 Million to China for Coronavirus Response

The United States intends to allocate $100 million to China and other affected countries to combat the novel coronavirus, announced Secretary of State Mike Pompeo on Twitter on February 7.

“I am proud to announce that an additional $100 million will be given to China to fight the coronavirus. This donation reflects the confidence of the United States leadership in the battle against the outbreak of the virus,” the Secretary of State wrote.

Earlier, the State Department confirmed the delivery of about 17.8 tons of pharmaceuticals to the Chinese people, including masks, gowns, gauze, respiratory devices, and other vital supplies.
