Former Director of Republican Maternity Hospital Razmik Abrahamyan to Remain Free

The former chief gynecologist of Armenia and accused in the illegal adoption case, Razmik Abrahamyan, will remain free. The Court of Appeal, led by Judge Andranik Mnatsakanyan, made this decision today, February 1.

It should be noted that the first-instance court had previously released Razmik Abrahamyan from custody. After that, the Prosecutor's Office appealed this decision.

Razmik Abrahamyan is facing charges under Article 167, Part 2, Clause 2 of the Criminal Code (illegal separation of a child from parents or transfer of a child) and Article 200, Part 3 (commercial bribery).
