Vermishyan Involved as Bribery Receiver, While John Farhoyan is the Bribery Giver
The former head of the Yerevan Investigative Department, John Farhoyan, is accused of giving a particularly large bribe. Farhoyan is involved as the giver of the bribe, while Vahagn Vermishyan, the chairman of the Urban Development Committee, is the receiver. This was reported to Armenpress by the press center of the NSS.
Earlier, it was reported that Vahagn Vermishyan had been arrested by a court decision, while for John Farhoyan, the court applied an alternative measure of restraint—bail—and he was released.
According to Article 312, Part 3 of the RA Criminal Code, giving a particularly large bribe is punishable by imprisonment for a term of three to seven years.
