Committee Members of the April War Commission Unsatisfied with Artak Davtyan
According to the "Zhoghovurd" newspaper, details have emerged from a closed session of the National Assembly's commission investigating the circumstances of the 2016 April War, which took place yesterday. As reported, the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, Artak Davtyan, was invited to this meeting.
According to the newspaper, the session was held in a generally positive atmosphere. The chairman of the commission, Andranik Kocharyan, presented Davtyan with a questionnaire that all invited individuals are asked to answer, requesting details on the combat situation during those days.
However, it is noted that the members of the commission appeared to be dissatisfied with Davtyan's responses, discussing amongst themselves that the answers provided by former Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan were more comprehensive, while Davtyan’s remarks were more superficial.
Reportedly, at the end of the meeting, there was also a discussion about recent incidents in the military, and Davtyan rushed to reassure the members of parliament.
