Attention Drivers: Several Roads Closed and Difficult to Pass

The Ministry of Emergency Situations informs that as of February 8 at 08:20, there are closed and difficult to pass roads in the territory of Armenia.

The Dilijan bends (snow falling) are closed for trucks. The Vardenyats Pass is closed for all types of vehicles. The Chayni bends are closed for trucks with trailers. The road from Musayelyan to Vardaghbyur in Shirak Province is closed. The Tigranashen bends, the Sotk-Karvachar road, and inter-community roads in the Ashotsk region of Shirak Province, as well as the roads to the villages of Amasia, Zarishat, Shaghik, and Garnarich are difficult to pass.

In the regions of Aparan and Tsaghkahovit in Aragatsotn Province, on the Kapan-Goris road, and in the regions of Ashotsk and Amasia in Shirak Province, as well as on the roads to the villages of Sarapat, Kakavasar, Salut, Musayelyan, and Berdashen, there is black ice in places, along with the segments of Saravan-Zanger and Sisian-Zanger.

On the Amasia-Berdashen road in the Aparan region of Aragatsotn Province, there is a blizzard. Snow is falling in the villages of Aparan in Aragatsotn Province, Semyonovka in Gegharkunik Province, Hrazdan in Kotayk Province, and Jermuk in Vayots Dzor Province.

According to information received from the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Crisis Management Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation in North Ossetia, the Stepantsminda-Larsi road is closed for all types of vehicles. According to information received from the Russian side, there are 940 trucks, 60 passenger cars, 1 bus, and 4 minibuses queuing on the Russian side.
