There is more of a crisis in the National Assembly than in the Constitutional Court, Gevorg Petrosyan
Gevorg Petrosyan from the "Prosperous Armenia" faction addressed the decision to hold a referendum on constitutional amendments during a meeting with reporters today.
"I have followed the reactions on social media, and we decided not to participate in the voting. This has served as a basis for accusations against us of having an unstable position, but that is not the case," he said.
According to Petrosyan, a constitutional crisis, as such, does not exist; it is a fabricated agenda. "If we talk about a crisis, it must be understood not as minor disagreements or personal animosities, but that this body is unable to fulfill its obligations. Please tell me one instance when, under the leadership of Hrayr Tovmasyan, the Constitutional Court received applications from individuals authorized to do so by the Constitution and was unable to make decisions or review cases. I can tell you, there is a greater crisis in the National Assembly— a crisis of trust and tolerance among each other," the MP emphasized.
