Vanchetzyan Interrogated in 2 Cases, His Phone Subject to Search
The former director of the NSS, Arthur Vanchetzyan, was summoned for interrogation by the Investigative Committee yesterday, January 30. This was confirmed to NEWS.am by the spokesperson for the Investigative Committee, Naira Harutyunyan.
“Arthur Vanchetzyan was interrogated yesterday regarding two cases—one related to wiretapping, where he was questioned as a witness. In the framework of this criminal case, his mobile phone was also searched. The other case involves alleged abuses in the Football Federation, where he was also interrogated as a witness,” said Naira Harutyunyan.
Earlier, we reported that in the wiretapping case, both Arthur Vanchetzyan and the head of the Special Investigative Service, Sasun Khachatryan, were interrogated.
It should be noted that on January 15, Nikol Pashinyan was summoned for interrogation by the Investigative Committee. He was questioned regarding the wiretapping of telephone conversations between the head of the Special Investigative Service, Sasun Khachatryan, and the former director of the NSS, Arthur Vanchetzyan. Nikol Pashinyan was interrogated in relation to two cases opened due to the mentioned wiretappings: one as a witness and the other as a victim.
