Investigative Committee Unaware if Head of Yerevan Investigation Department Has Been Arrested

According to circulating rumors, John Farhkoyan, the former head of the Yerevan Investigation Department of the RA Investigative Committee, has reportedly been arrested in connection with the criminal case against the Chairman of the Urban Development Committee, Vahagn Vermishyan.

To clarify the situation, 24News contacted Aram Avetisyan, the spokesperson for the RA Investigative Committee, who stated: “There is no ongoing investigation involving Farhkoyan within our jurisdictions, and no such case has been initiated.”

The media also attempted to reach the press center of the National Security Service, but they declined to provide any information, stating: “There is no official information available; if there are any updates, we will certainly inform the media.”
