31,161 People: WHO Reports Number of Coronavirus Infected

The World Health Organization (WHO) reports that the total number of people infected with the new strain of coronavirus from China has exceeded 31,000.

"As of today, the total number of confirmed cases of the new coronavirus in mainland China is 31,161," stated the organization on Twitter.

Meanwhile, there have been 4,821 severe cases and 636 deaths recorded. The WHO also noted that a conference will be convened next week to study the epidemiology of the new coronavirus, clinical assistance, vaccines, therapy, and more.
