Vanechyan Enters Active Politics

Former NSS director Arthur Vanechyan stated during a meeting with the heads of print media that he will announce his entry into active politics, according to Aysor.am.

“I will try to present myself in the political field; engaging in political activity implies the creation and registration of a political force, which I plan to implement in the near future,” he said.

Vanechyan noted that he will soon announce the registration of his party. He emphasized the need for a political force that attempts to unite the broad segments of society that do not accept the actions of the current authorities, have had their hopes unfulfilled, and do not wish to return to the past.

“A very important phenomenon has emerged, whereby society is divided into blacks and whites. I believe this is a false agenda brought into the political field, claiming that the alternative to the current government is the former authorities. I assure you, this is not the case; there will never be a return to the past. I am the person who will fight against any return to the past, but I am also someone who opposes divisions in society and this false agenda that is manipulatively propagated. There is no such division; we are all Armenians, we are citizens of the Republic of Armenia,” Vanechyan stated.
