The Future of the Drunken Driver of the Route 99 Bus Will Be Determined After the Road Police's Decision: Hakob Karapetyan
The spokesman for the Mayor of Yerevan, Hakob Karapetyan, made a post on his Facebook page regarding the incident involving the driver of bus number 99.
"The driver of bus number 99, who was involved in an accident today while being intoxicated on Isakov Avenue, did not register at the dispatcher point this morning. According to current regulations, the driver must report to the dispatcher point that services the route every morning, obtain a signed permit, undergo a corresponding inspection, and then head out on the route. Onik Adamyan, the driver of the Gazelle under number 99, did not enter the dispatcher office this morning, did not receive a permit, and did not undergo an inspection. Adamyan's driving future will be clarified after the decision of the Road Police. Nevertheless, it is known that driving under the influence of alcohol is punished by a two-year revocation of driving rights. If any of the victims of the accident file a complaint, there is a possibility of criminal prosecution," he wrote.
