OSCE to Conduct Observation at the Contact Line of Artsakh and Azerbaijan Armed Forces
On February 6, in accordance with an agreement reached with the authorities of the Republic of Artsakh, the OSCE mission will carry out a planned observation of the ceasefire regime at the contact line between the armed forces of Artsakh and Azerbaijan, specifically in the eastern section near the village of Talish in the Martakert region.
The observation will be conducted from the positions of the Artsakh Defense Army by field assistants of the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office (PRC), Ognjen Jovic (Bosnia and Herzegovina) and Gennadiy Petrican (Moldova), along with the PRC's personal assistant Simon Thiller (United Kingdom).
On the opposite side of the contact line, the observation will be conducted by OSCE Chairperson-in-Office Personal Representative Ambassador Andrzej Kasprzyk, his field assistant Mikhail Olaru (Moldova), and PRC office staff member Martin Schuster (Germany).
The authorities of the Republic of Artsakh have expressed their willingness to assist in the conduct of the observation and ensure the safety of the OSCE mission members.
