The lawyer of David Movsisyan, accused in the criminal case concerning the death of conscript soldier Varham Avagyan, has announced that they will appeal the decision to detain him as a measure of restraint.

Gor Gevorgyan, Movsisyan’s attorney, stated to NEWS.am, "We will appeal the detention. I can say that David Movsisyan has no connection to the charges brought against him; it belongs to the genre of absurdity and is detached from legal grounds. When you read the essence of the charges and compare it with the facts, you will see that it is purely speculative. There are many violations involved."

It is noteworthy that yesterday, the first instance court approved the detention request filed by the Investigative Committee.
