40 Suspected Cases of Coronavirus Hospitalized in Armenia, 26 Discharged
In Armenia, 40 patients with suspected coronavirus symptoms have been hospitalized, of which 26 have already been discharged (discharges are ongoing), and 14 patients remain hospitalized. All are receiving symptomatic treatment, and laboratory tests are being conducted as necessary. This information was reported by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Armenia.
To enhance the effectiveness of the control measures for passengers arriving from China at the border crossing points, specialists from the Ministry of Health have been deployed to border health and sanitary control points since January 27. Since that date, 859 individuals have arrived in Armenia, and monitoring has been established based on their place of residence.
As a result, in rare cases, influenza A pathogens and rhinoviruses have been detected, while tests for the new coronavirus have returned negative results.
Currently, the situation in the Republic of Armenia is under control, with no cases of the new coronavirus reported. All necessary preventive measures are being implemented in collaboration with relevant organizations and international entities.
The Ministry of Health once again urges the public not to panic, to refrain from spreading misinformation, and to follow only official news and medical advice, avoiding professional guidance and commentary.
