We Hope Other Factions Are Also Interested in the Proposed Bill: Marukyan

The parliamentary faction of 'Bright Armenia' has submitted a bill to the National Assembly proposing the removal of certain restrictions on organizing parliamentary hearings. This was announced by the faction leader Edmond Marukyan on his Facebook page.

'Moments ago, the 'Bright Armenia' faction initiated the draft law on amendments to the 'Rules of Procedure of the National Assembly' of the Republic of Armenia. This bill proposes to annul the regulations that restrict the opportunity for factions to call hearings. In other words, a faction can organize parliamentary hearings only regarding a bill proposed by itself or a member included in its ranks, and only once per regular session. According to our proposed amendments, these restrictions will be removed from the law, allowing factions to hold hearings at any time and on any subject. We hope that other factions are also interested in the adoption of the presented bill,' Marukyan wrote.
