Ruben Hayrapetyan: 'I invested my children's money in football, I can be blamed for anything but that'
As previously reported, lawyer Amram Makinyan announced on his Facebook page that Ruben Hayrapetyan was detained. Later, it was revealed that Hayrapetyan was taken into custody by criminal police on suspicion of illegal possession of weapons and ammunition.
Three hours later, Hayrapetyan emerged and stated that no illegal weapons were found in his possession. He claimed to have three legal firearms, two of which are hunting weapons. He refused consent for a search of his vehicle.
Hayrapetyan also asserted that the Football Federation of Armenia owes him money. 'I invested my children's money in football; I can be blamed for anything but that,' Hayrapetyan said.
Amram Makinyan indicated that Hayrapetyan's vehicle is being unlawfully held by the sixth department. They are preparing to file a lawsuit with the prosecutor's office.
