It Is Offending to Read ‘Armenians Eat Each Other’ Comments in Azerbaijani Territory: K. Hovhannisyan
Karen Hovhannisyan, a Kurdish and Turkish studies scholar, wrote on his Facebook page: “Every soldier or officer of the Armenian Army’s death is painful for me, not only painful but also offensive, when that casualty is not the result of the enemy's actions but rather that of a representative of your own nation. Everyone should understand that the person standing before them is someone who, if they have reached the army, possesses a healthy mindset, self-respect, and values, for which they might even pay with their life.
There is a red line that as an ARMENIAN one should not cross. While experts and specialists think about what model to implement in the army to mitigate the issues of interpersonal relationships, the boys in the army should also realize that it is immoral to degrade a fellow friend, a combat companion, a comrade-in-arms, the friend with whom you share a meal at the same table, or the one you sleep under the same roof with; degrading or shedding the blood of such a person is unethical... It is offensive to read yet another ‘Armenians eat each other’ type of comment in Azerbaijani territory... I find no place, what are you doing boys, what are you proving to whom...”
