Poland to Purchase 32 F-35 Fighters from the USA
Poland and the USA have signed a contract for the purchase of 32 fifth-generation F-35 fighter jets. The signing ceremony took place on Friday, January 31, at the airbase in Dęblin, according to Poland's Ministry of Defense, as reported by Корреспондент.net.
The ceremony was attended by Polish President Andrzej Duda, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, and National Security Minister Mariusz Błaszczak.
The total cost of the fighters amounts to $4.6 billion, with each jet priced at $87 million. Poland will receive the first batch in 2026. Pilot training is scheduled to take place in the USA in 2024.
