Investigative Committee Rejects Criminal Case Against Police Officer Who Posted About Hrayr Tovmasyan
The Special Investigative Service has concluded that a police officer's Facebook post regarding the President of the Constitutional Court, Hrayr Tovmasyan, contained no criminal intent. In response to Tert.am's inquiry, the service stated, “The initiation of a criminal case has been rejected due to the absence of a crime.”
It's important to note that the officer made a post reading, “Next, they will hit you,” in relation to Tovmasyan's visit to the site of the death of former NSS Director Georgi Kutoyan. The materials regarding the officer's threatening comments were forwarded to the Special Investigative Service for proper legal assessment.
The police sergeant has also been subjected to disciplinary action by Acting Police Chief Arman Sargsyan.
