The US Does Not Plan to Withdraw Troops from Syria

The United States is not planning to withdraw its troops from Syria in the near future. This was stated by James Jeffrey, the US special representative for Syria, during a press briefing on January 30, according to TASS agency.

“We do not plan any actions to withdraw US troops from Syria in the near future,” noted the State Department employee. The US once again emphasized that its military presence in Syria is solely driven by the fight against terrorism.
