No Cases of Coronavirus Infection or Suspicious Patients in Artsakh

There are no cases of coronavirus infection or even suspicious patients in the Republic of Artsakh. The epidemiological situation caused by the new coronavirus (2019-nCoV) remains tense in China. This information was reported by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Artsakh.

In China, 8,000 infection cases have been recorded, resulting in 170 fatalities. Cases have also been registered in 17 other countries, including Georgia and Turkey.

To prevent the entry of the coronavirus into the territory of the Republic of Artsakh, specialists from the Ministry of Health of Artsakh are collaborating with specialists from the Ministry of Health of Armenia. The coronavirus spreads through airborne droplets and contact routes. The incubation period for the disease ranges from 2 to 14 days, often around 3-5 days.

Patients infected with the coronavirus exhibit flu-like symptoms, including cough, high fever, and difficulty breathing. However, a definitive diagnosis is made based on laboratory test results.

The Ministry of Health of the Republic of Artsakh urges individuals planning international trips to consider the epidemiological situation in the relevant country, seek medical advice in the presence of flu-like symptoms, avoid self-medication, and maintain personal hygiene.

The Ministry of Health of the Republic of Artsakh continues to monitor the situation regarding the virus closely.
