Substances Resembling Drugs Found in the Restroom of Vanadzor Prison Cell
On January 20, around 11:00 AM, employees of the Ministry of Justice's Vanadzor Penitentiary Institution discovered a hidden stash in the wall of the restroom during a search of one of the cells. The stash contained 0.3 grams of a substance resembling marijuana seeds, separated into three polyethylene packets.
Later that day, around 5:00 PM, staff at the Ministry of Justice's Kosh Penitentiary Institution conducted an inspection of the intermediate area between watchtowers based on operational information. As a result, they found a polyethylene packet secured to a stone, which contained an 11.7-gram greenish substance resembling marijuana. Materials are being prepared regarding the facts, and a forensic chemistry examination has been appointed.
